Humiliating Jesse Santana on the radio

Jesse Santana was on The Derek & Romaine Show in the last hour.
It was the worst interview ever, and the most humiliating one.

Derek was a bit sarcastic when Jason Sechrest told him he wants them to ask Jesse questions to get to know him better. The questions were sarcastic. Political issues. "What do you think the International community should do with Myanmar about the cyclone disaster?" "Do you agree we should have gas tax holidays?" Jesse humbled but said "I'm not into the political stuff". That's his answer. But they just kept going into that direction. I think he wouldn't mind the personal question but then, they finished the interview.

It's dreadful. Sorry Jesse. I like your movie and you in person despite saying hi once, but I felt bad for you.

Here's why.

After Jesse got off the phone. D&R explained why they were "mean" to Jesse. It was because of Jason Sechrest. Because Jason said they didn't ask questions when Aaron James was on last week and instead they played this game. (Note, the game was hilarious I have to say, but I would love to get to know him too) So Jason hoped that when Jesse is on, they would ask him personal questions.

That turned Derek & Romaine off and they were not happy about Jason telling them how to do a show. Moreover, they got irritated because today is Jesse's birthday (Happy Birthday Jesse), so he and the boys are celebrating at a restaurant. Jason requested and see if it's possible to have the interview on earlier. I guess that's the final straw crushing a camel so they went off on Jesse.

Later they targetted Jason.

"If Jesse has brains, he won't hire Jason Sechrest as a publicist."
"Jason Fucking Sechrest, fuck it up"
"Jesse Santana shouldn't waste his money on Jason"

Derek also mentione dhe doesn't want to spoil the fantasy of porn stars. But what's wrong with that? Just because being in porn you're supposed to maintain this fantasy for the audience so us the audience shouldn't know the, personally? Doesn't make sense to me.

One thing you need to know when listening to the show. The show is not your ordinary show because it is breathtaking, refreshing, and pushing the envelope. It's a show not for everyone because it won't be able to satisfy everyone. That's why the show is successful. However, as much as the show is going semi-unprofessional, the way Derek & Romaine conducted the interview was too unprofessional.

May be Jason did few things that ticked them off, but it's totally unprofessional to go off on someone else. They can be mean to Jason whatever they want to which is not my business, but I felt really bad for Jesse. Even after Derek on the air said he will apologize through Howard at FabScout, I'm like, why? If you're frustrated, fine, but you need to maintain some sort of professionalism with the guest anyways.

This is a total disaster.

Jason, I like Derek & Romaine, I will still listen to the show, but to be frank, this is just too ridiculous and I'm on your side. I just left Jesse a message on myspace. But if you have a chance to talk to him, make sure you tell him "jimy from Vancouver felt REALLY bad for you with the interview".

And by the way, the listeners seems to be joining the game and also calling on the name game. Gosh, get a life.

UPDATED THOUGHTS at 2316

Quite frankly after giving few thoughts, I don't believe Jason's demand was over the line. It was just simply a request to show hosts, asking personal question so us can get to know Jesse better. What's wrong with that? May be the timing issue was a bit questionable because it's a live radio show, but it didn't really warrant them going off on Jesse to get back at Jason. It's not fair for Jesse, nor Jason. As much as I sounded like I'm defending Jason, I just think he didn't do anything bizarre or being a diva in this case.
